Karl is a soft spoken grandfather with an alert mind and a witty sense of humour. he is proud of the fact that he has remained in good health by maintaining an active lifestyle. he has balanced his nutrition with the help of his wife francis of 57 years and kept his weight constant for the past 40 years. Most treasured is a complete set of lower natural teeth. and it?s not surprising when you know that he is 82 years of age. today, you wouldn?t realize his top teeth have been a problem, for he now has implant supported teeth that look natural and has maintained his confidence to socialize with friends and family. karl is a retired farmer who has taken excellent care of himself, but the process of aging had caused the last upper teeth to be removed. ?he was not enjoying the quality of life he still wanted and wasn?t able to interact and socialize with people with confidence.? says dr. pekar, the family dentist. This would entail several visits including 4 to 6 months healing time. due to some recently stabilized health concerns it was decided, karl would be a candidate for teeth in a day mini dental implants. a one hour minimally invasive procedure was performed without scalpel or sutures. The partial denture was stabilized the same day. The biggest advantage for karl was avoiding a bone graft from the hip. This would have required hospital surgery and significant recovery time for both the mouth
